There are two types of greens at Cabin Bluff....the first kind are usually sprinkled with hot sauce and enjoyed with a side of corn bread at supper, and the second kind is just steps away from the Conference Center, but doesn't require tee times or a formal dress code, and has never looked better!
Yes, we are referring to the great golf available at Cabin Bluff. Where else can you play completely at your leisure, without pressure from starters, rangers, or even other golfers wishing to play through? Want to have more than 3 buddies play together? No problem! It's your course, so if you decide on a friendly little impromptu chipping contest, that's your prerogative.
We are very privileged and a more than a little spoiled to have 18 holes on 3 greens, totaling over 2 acres at our doorstep. The fairways are long and narrow and all provide waterfront and marsh views...without a house or a dwelling of any kind within sight. We can't even think of another golf course (let alone one that alone offers accommodations, hunting and fishing) that provides complete privacy from clubhouses, homes and hotels. Oh, you might have a few gators, bald eagles, roseate spoonbills and wood storks snickering at that first attempt from the number 8 elevated peninsula tee, but other than that, you're on your own!
You won't even find beverage carts interrupting your play, because 4 strategically placed Yeti coolers are stocked and iced down daily, so you can quench your thirst at your leisure. After a few holes, take rod & reel off the roof of your cart and cast a line in the ponds, or at the dock...maybe you can even catch some trout to have for dinner with those other greens!
