Charleston's Southeastern Wildlife Expo, commonly referred to as SEWE, is a weekend long exposition that aims to promote wildlife and nature conservation and preservation in Southeast – a mission that resonates deeply with Cabin Bluff. Since the first exposition in 1983 SEWE has grown from 100 exhibitors and 5,000 attendees to the largest event of its kind in the nation. Today, an average of 40,000 attendees come to see more than 500 artists, exhibitors and wildlife experts from around the world.
Each year Cabin Bluff supports our shared mission with SEWE through a sponsorship, part of which allows us to have a booth at the show. It’s a great opportunity for us to meet people with common interests and check out all the fun activities and events! Some of our favorites include browsing the wonderful art gallery at the Charleston Place (we particularly love the waterfowl paintings), seeing the latest in hand crafted tools and decoys (like oyster knives, duck decoys, etc.) and, of course, watching the sporting dog competitions and demos. It doesn’t hurt that the foot and atmosphere in downtown Charleston is always outstanding!
Once again this year we’ll be set up in Charleston Place near the entrance to the art gallery. Come by and see us! We are always excited to make new friends, expand our contacts in the conservation world, and hopefully meet some future Cabin Bluff guests! The fun starts tomorrow – you can find all the details at www.sewe.com. See you there!
