It was family week at Cabin Bluff this past week and I had the opportunity to “take a kid fishing” all week long! The weather conditions were perfect, the fish were cooperating, and I spent time on the water with the families that visited during this period. The junior anglers were quick studies and mastered the techniques of catching, instead of fishing. We headed offshore for bottom dwellers and brought back to the dock, triggerfish, vermillion snapper, and sea bass. The river fishing produced an assortment of species including whiting, sharks, red bass, trout, and the kids "forever favorite", the croaker. It was very special to spend time on the water with the families and show off fishing on the golden isles! Thank you to all the families and hope to see you back at Cabin Bluff soon!
Oh yeah the big kids caught fish also!!!
