Real American History

Cabin Bluff is known for its world-class outdoor experiences, its authentic coastal cuisine and its great accommodations. But few if any people know it for its music.

Seriously though, Cabin Bluff is a short drive from one of the south’s most authentic and original forms of pure entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights during the summer known as "The Woodbine Opry." The Woodbine Opry is a homegrown local concert of acoustic bluegrass, country and gospel music in Woodbine, Georgia (population 1,283). The entertainers come from the local community and get together each Friday and Saturday night during the summer to raise money and entertain the locals. The experience is nothing short of amazing and one that your family will never forget.

Friday night is an open jam session where a visitor can experience everything from guitar, mandolin, harmonica, autoharp and vocalists in a incredibly entertaining mash up of music. There is nothing quite like it anywhere. The Woodbine Opry Band reserves Saturday night for electric instruments, amplifiers and drums with occasional guest musicians.

In today’s hectic and fast-paced world of Facebook, video games and stress, Cabin Bluff has always represented that escape door. With the Woodbine Opry, not only will you find the escape from the modern world but more importantly expose your family to a piece of true American History.
